These smoky avocado burgers don’t run short on flavor, they are juicy, tender, mouthwatering basically everything you want in a burger + more!

Ingredients

  • 4 1/4lb ground beef patties (90/10)
  • 4hamburger buns
  • Smoky Spice Blend:
  • 1/2 teaspoonsmoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoongarlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonsea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoonancho chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoonground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoonground black pepper

Spicy Mayo:

  • 3 tablespoonsmayo
  • 1/2 teaspoondiced chipotle peppers in adobe sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoonsmoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoongarlic powder
  • 1 teaspoonlime juice

Avocado Mash:

  • 2avocados
  • juice of1lime
  • 1/2 teaspoongarlic powder
  • salt to taste

Pineapple Pepper Relish:

  • 1 cupdiced pineapple
  • 1red pepper
  • 1yellow pepper
  • 1 tablespoonfresh cilantro
  • juice of1lime
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. To make the Spice Blend: in a small bowl add smoked paprika, garlic powder, sea salt, ancho chili powder, ground cumin, and black pepper.

  3. To make Spicy Mayo: to a food processor add mayo, chipotle pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and lime juice. Blend until combined. Set aside.
  4. To make Avocado Mash: add avocado to a bowl, mash with a fork until smooth, mix in lime juice, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until combined. Set aside.
  5. Preheat grill to medium high heat.
  6. Place whole red pepper and whole yellow pepper on the grill. Grill each side for 3-4 minutes, until there is a slight char on each side. Remove and let sit for 3-4 minutes. Cut off top, remove the seeds and dice into small pieces.
  7. To make the Pineapple Pepper Relish: Add diced peppers, pineapple, fresh cilantro, lime juice, and salt to a bowl. Toss to combine everything. Set aside.
  8. Place burger patty on grill. Grill each side for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Toast the buns.
  10. Assemble the burger: bottom bun, spicy mayo, burger patty, avocado mash, pineapple pepper relish, top bun. DEVOUR!
